Quincy Lab Air-Forced Digital Incubator with Acrylic Door .. An incubator holds a temperature steadily for days, which is a different problem from reaching one.
The models differ by 2 115V, 2 230V, 6 115V and 6 230V.
Cultures respond to the temperature they sit in for days, so what matters is that every position in the chamber holds the same value overnight and through a power blip — not how fast the chamber reaches set point. A door opened for thirty seconds should not cost an hour of recovery, and a shelf near the fan should not run a degree warmer than the one below it.
An ordinary incubator can only heat, so it cannot hold a temperature below the room. In a tropical laboratory that rules out a great deal: BOD at 20 °C, many environmental protocols and any cool storage need a refrigerated incubator, which both heats and cools. Specifying a heat-only unit for a 20 °C protocol is the most expensive mistake in this category.
Put an independent thermometer in the chamber and read it: the controller reports its own sensor, which is one point in a box that may not be uniform.
Supplied in 4 models.
