Multiparameter Meter pH, ORP, EC, DO, GPS w/ probe. Water quality parameters are read together because they only mean something together.
The models differ by w/10m, w/20m and w/4m.
pH decides how toxic a given ammonia reading is. Temperature decides how much oxygen the water can hold. Conductivity says whether the sample is the one you think it is. Read on three instruments at three moments, these become three unrelated numbers; read on one, at one moment, from one sample, they become a description of the water.
A benchtop meter has mains power, a large display, a stand for the electrode and room for a printer or a computer link — it is the right instrument where samples come to the laboratory. A portable meter is sealed, battery powered and built to be dropped; it is the right instrument where the laboratory goes to the sample. Almost nobody is well served by using one as the other.
A multiparameter meter simplifies the carrying, not the upkeep: every electrode on it still ages, calibrates and fails on its own schedule.
Supplied in 3 models.
