Micro Essential Lab Hydrion test papers measure the concentration of quaternary ammonium (quat) sanitizers in kitchens, food plants and anywhere health regulations require the sanitizing solution to be checked.
A quat sanitizer that is too weak does not kill microorganisms; one that is too strong leaves residue on food-contact surfaces. Checking the concentration in ppm before using the solution is the simple way to meet sanitary controls and pass inspections.
Tear off a piece of paper from the dispenser, dip it in the solution for about 10 seconds and compare the colour, while still wet, with the chart printed on the dispenser.
Choose the version according to the quat type on your sanitizer label; a 2-chain paper will not read reliably with a 4-chain product. The correct concentration is set by the local health authority and may vary by application.
Each kit holds a 15 ft x 5/32 in roll in a Hydrion dispenser with colour chart, for about 100 tests. Sold in cartons of 10 kits. Made in the USA.
