Micro Essential Lab Hydrion CM-240 test tape for checking free chlorine concentration in sanitizing solutions, with a 10 to 200 ppm colour chart.
CM-240
Micro Essential Lab Hydrion CM-240 test tape measures free available chlorine in sanitizing solutions, in the range used to sanitize equipment and food-contact surfaces.
A chlorine solution that is too weak does not sanitize, and one that is too strong corrodes equipment and leaves residue. Health regulations require a way to verify the concentration before the solution is used.
Tear off a piece of tape from the dispenser, dip it in the solution and remove it quickly, blot with a paper towel and compare at once with the colour chart printed on the dispenser: 10, 25, 50, 100 and 200 ppm.
Read the result immediately; if left too long, the colour keeps changing. The correct concentration is set by the sanitizer manufacturer and the local health authority.
Each kit holds a 15 ft roll of tape in a protective dispenser with colour chart. Sold in cartons of 10 kits plus one refill roll, for about 2,000 tests in total. Made in the USA.
