The Hanna Instruments HI771 Checker® HC is a pocket-sized colorimeter that measures total chlorine at an ultra high range, with a digital readout instead of matching colors by eye against a chart.
Chlorine is a widely used disinfectant in industries such as fruit and vegetable washing, medical instrument sterilization, and chlorine-generating equipment, where concentrations run far above what a standard chlorine checker can read. The HI771 extends that range so those processes can be measured accurately with a single button press.
The instrument uses an adaptation of the Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater, 20th Edition, method 4500-Cl: an LED light source at 525 nm passes through the sample and a silicon photocell measures the color change, converting it into a precise ppm reading.
Includes two sample cuvettes with caps, a Chlorine UHR reagent starter kit (reagents for 6 tests), battery, instructions, and quick start guide.
