This Hanna Instruments calibration solution measures an 84 µS/cm standard for calibrating conductivity meters at the low end.
A conductivity cell's constant changes as it fouls or is damaged, and low-conductivity work is where that shows first. Calibrating near the value you will measure matters more here than in almost any other measurement.
A standard is only a standard while it is uncontaminated and in date. Pour what you need into a clean beaker, never dip an electrode into the bottle, and never return what you poured. Cap the bottle immediately — several of these solutions change value simply by standing open.
Write the opening date on the label. An expired or contaminated standard does not announce itself; it quietly calibrates every instrument in the laboratory to the wrong value.
Low-conductivity standards absorb carbon dioxide and rise in value; pour what you need and cap the bottle at once.
Supplied as 2 models.
