Hanna Instruments thermometer for type K temperature with the highest and lowest values seen held on screen, one model.
HI93531
This Hanna Instruments thermometer measures type K temperature with the highest and lowest values seen held on screen.
What matters is often not the temperature now but the worst it reached. Holding the extremes lets one probe be left through a cycle — a cook, a transport leg, a night in a cabinet — and questioned afterwards.
Most wrong temperatures are not the instrument's fault. A probe placed too shallow, read before it settled, or put in the thinnest part of a piece of food gives a confident number that was never true of the product.
Insert to the depth marked, into the thickest part, and wait for the reading to stop moving. Check the instrument against an ice-water slurry periodically — that is a real reference point, and it costs nothing.
Clear the held values before each run; a maximum carried over from yesterday is worse than no record at all.
Supplied as one model.
