Calcium hypochlorite at 70% available chlorine, supplied granular in a 100 lb (45.3 kg) drum. It is the practical way to chlorinate at volume without handling gas or storing large quantities of liquid bleach.
Sodium hypochlorite solution loses strength on the shelf — significantly over weeks, faster in heat, and Panama supplies both. Calcium hypochlorite in dry granular form keeps its rated strength far longer, so a drum bought this month still doses at 70% next quarter. That stability is what makes it the right product for a store that turns over slowly, a standby supply, or a site without cold storage.
Volume for volume it is also far more concentrated, which cuts freight and storage: one 45 kg drum replaces many drums of liquid.

Handle as an oxidiser. Keep it dry and closed, away from acids, ammonia, organic material and anything combustible — calcium hypochlorite reacts vigorously with all of them. Always add the product to water, never water to the product, and dose against a measured chlorine residual rather than by volume alone.
