Submersible stainless steel pumps for wastewater. They are the choice for liquid that carries chemistry as well as solids: industrial effluent, wash water with detergents, process drainage, anything that would corrode an iron casing within months.
A cast iron wastewater pump performs well with domestic water: soap, organic matter, soft solids. There iron lasts years and costs considerably less.
Stainless becomes necessary when the effluent carries acids, salts, solvents or chlorine at process concentration. In that service an iron pump fails not from mechanical wear but from casing corrosion, and usually before the impeller shows any wear at all.
Three configurations from 0.5 to 1 hp, with 1″ NPT discharge, single phase at 110 V and three phase.
The 1″ discharge marks this series' limit: it passes small solids and fibres, not coarse waste. For larger solids you have to move to the cast iron series with 2″ to 6″ discharge, and accept iron.
