The HI6421 is an optimized benchtop meter with a large 7-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, designed for dissolved oxygen measurements in freshwater and saltwater environments.
It features an optical dissolved oxygen probe (opdo®) based on the fluorescence quenching principle: a platinum-based immobilized luminophore is excited by blue LED light and emits red light. The system uses Smart Caps with pre-loaded calibration coefficients and automatically compensates for sensor aging by measuring the reference signal.
The interface offers five views: basic GLP configuration, complete GLP data, interactive live graphs, and tabulated data with timestamps.
