Borosilicate graduated cylinder on a detachable plastic base, in four capacities from 10 mL to 100 mL. Fewer breakages than a glass foot.

The same borosilicate cylinder, on a detachable plastic base instead of a glass one. The base is the part that breaks: a glass foot chips on the bench edge and cracks when a cylinder is set down hard, and the whole cylinder is then scrap. A plastic base absorbs that knock, and if it does fail it is replaced on its own.
It is also the safer choice where cylinders are handled by many people or carried between benches — teaching laboratories, quality-control lines, sample-prep areas — because a cylinder that is knocked over on a plastic base usually survives.
Four capacities are stocked, covering the small-volume range where cylinders are used most:

One limitation to plan around: the plastic base is not autoclavable and should be removed before the cylinder goes into a drying oven. It unscrews, so this is a step rather than an obstacle — but it is a step, and where cylinders are routinely sterilised the all-glass version is the simpler tool.
