The Nalgene Acrylic Desiccator Cabinet stores moisture-sensitive stock at a controlled humidity in a footprint that fits on a bench or inside a fume hood. Clear acrylic on all sides means contents are identified without opening the door, which is the main reason cabinet humidity creeps up in daily use.
A neoprene gasket runs the full perimeter of the door and seals against the frame. Two stainless-steel latches — three on the largest size — draw the door evenly against that gasket, and a full-height hinge keeps the door aligned as the cabinet is loaded and unloaded.
A removable, lipped tray at the base holds solid desiccant in place and lifts out for regeneration without disturbing the shelves above it. Shelves are fixed at even spacing and take standard laboratory glassware, electronic components, culture plates and reference standards.
Three sizes are available:
Size by the tallest item to be stored rather than by total volume — shelf spacing is fixed, so a single tall item forces the larger cabinet regardless of how little else is held. Acrylic is not suitable for vacuum service or for storing solvents that attack it, such as acetone and other ketones.
